I'm not sure why I waited so long to do this. I've used them for motorcycle riding, though I have to admit I don't think they made a huge difference when the icy air was hitting me. The ones inside my coat usually feel pretty good. The ones you put in your gloves and shoes to warm your extremities - not so much.
Heat packs.
I bought some over the weekend and stuck one in my pocket while watching the boys' soccer practice and it made me feel delightfully cozy even though it was 5 degrees and cloudy. Today as I was preparing to go for a lunchtime walk I opened the window and saw it was pretty cold and windy so I stuck a couple of mini heat packs in my pockets and had a comfier than usual walk.
I don't mind being cold, but I do like the warmth. It makes it easier to push through and reach my walking goal.
Eri gave me dinner instructions as the boys were settling in for their nap and she was heading downtown for her class - vegetable soup she made this morning, tuna rolls she picked up at the store, and oven pizza.
I grabbed some audio from part of our pizza night.
