After the rain and clouds the last few days today's chilly blue skies were a welcome feeling.
I stopped and turned around and snapped a quick pic after I got off the subway at Izumi Chuo. I was walking home from a trip downtown to see my psychiatrist. He refilled my prescription of crazy pills, but I think staring at the sunset might be a better remedy.
Also this.
I got off the subway and texted Eri to see how the boys were doing. She said they were still napping but that they'd be up soon and Kenzo said earlier that he wanted to go catch bugs. That translates into "hurry home papa."
Upon arriving home I didn't take off my jacket or dilly-dally at all. I rallied the boys, fresh from their long naps, and we headed out with the bug box and the net and Osamu brought a ball which he later forgot in the park and tomorrow morning I'll go and retrieve it.
We ended up being out longer than I had planned. I told Kenzo he was the leader of our expedition and he rose to the challenge. However, he led us down and around far-flung parts of our neighborhood as dusk turned darker and darker. And mama was waiting with dinner prepared.
On the way back up the hill to our house both Kenzo and Osamu picked flowers for mama. Kenzo said he likes surprising mama with flowers.
