Bureaucracy apparently doesn't take Sunday off anymore, which paid off for Kenzo and Osamu.
They got a super fun trip downtown to pick up their Japanese passports and then mama took them to Sendai Station, where they spent a couple of hours watching the bullet trains come and go.
Kotodai Park is smack dab in the middle of downtown Sendai, and right next to a subway station that goes back to our house. The boys wasted no time running amok on this wonderfully humid morning.
Papa headed out at 7:45 for a full morning of neighborhood association duties, but not before engaging in some shenanigans with these guys. Man they were wound up from sunrise.
I slept downstairs with the window open all night. Cool, humid rain fell until morning.
Eri retreated to the boys' room again, where we have the aircon running.
Later in the day I had a meeting with the neighborhood association chairman and the local traffic safety chairman. I'm using my "position" as vice-chairman to get some things done, like installing an extra traffic mirror at the intersection that leads to our street.
