The moratorium on TV watching came to an end yesterday evening. Eri came to my office and said it was time, so I agreed. This morning when I got downstairs the boys were happily watching their new favorite show. They call it Mr. Bean but it’s not Mr. Bean. It’s Rowan Atkinson playing a similar kind of bumbling character and I have to say both Eri and I have laughed out loud watching it with the boys.
The boys and mama headed over to this area near our house where there are tons of cherry blossom trees on grassy traffic islands. During peak cherry blossom season people come from all over to picnic there.
They went to Pensee to get some baked goodies and then went and staked out a beautiful lunch spot. I couldn't go because my work day was crammed with meetings, the highlight of which was a two hour curriculum workshop I led for a group of teachers at a large kindergarten in Tokyo. They wore me out with their questions and their energy, but overall I think the session was useful for them. I did my best to listen more than talk.
After that it was already late afternoon so I headed out to think my thoughts and take in another colorful spring day.
